I am a colorectal consultant based in Bristol. I have a specialist interest in colonoscopy, colorectal cancer, benign anorectal disorders, inflammatory bowel disease, haemorrhoids and other anal conditions. I am happy to see patients with varying degrees of symptoms ranging from anal pain and discomfort to abdominal pain and change in bowel habit.

I am involved in ongoing research within the fields of colorectal cancer and inflammatory bowel disease and am the Lead Clinical Director of  the Bristol and Weston Colorectal Screening Programme.

I offer a comprehensive service at the Spire Hospital Bristol from diagnosis to diagnostic testing to surgical treatment. I also provide a quick & efficient endoscopy service for investigation, including colonoscopies and flexible sigmoidoscopies, and treatments such as banding for piles which can be performed in the outpatient room as part of a consultation.

I can now offer a new procedure for the treatment of haemorrhoids called HALO (Haemorrhoid Artery Ligation Operation). HALO is a relatively short and quick procedure and allows the patient to be discharged on the same day. The procedure has a high success rate as haemorrhoids eventually shrink away and symptoms resolve.
